Record delivery or collection and update the customer

Save a job-level fulfilment record, tracking link and public message without confusing order completion.

Dispatch belongs to an individual print job. An order with several jobs can be fulfilled in stages, but each job has one fulfilment record in this workflow rather than separate partial-copy or multi-parcel records.

Dispatch a delivery job

  1. Open the job ticket after its supported printing/finishing stages.
  2. Choose delivery and enter the actual dispatch date, courier/reference and tracking link where applicable.
  3. Check the customer-facing details.
  4. Use the supported dispatch action and confirm the job stage and public workspace.

The actual date cannot be in the future. Tracking links must be valid HTTP/HTTPS URLs without embedded credentials. PressFlow records the link; it does not book a courier, generate labels or fetch tracking events.

Mark collection

Choose collection and enter the actual ready/fulfilment details through the job's supported controls. Courier fields are cleared for collection. Make the customer-facing instruction useful, including your normal collection arrangements where appropriate.

Public versus private information

Dispatch details become public when the job is dispatched. A public customer message is visible when saved; it is not a private staff note held until dispatch. Review your wording and recipient before posting.

The dispatch/collection email is queued if enabled. “Sent” means the mail transport accepted the message, not proof that the customer read it. Check the workspace and queue status if delivery is uncertain.

Complete the order separately

Marking one job dispatched does not automatically complete the entire WooCommerce order. Check every item, payment and fulfilment obligation before setting the order's final status through your normal shop process.

Supported corrections to a dispatched record remain guarded. Cancelled/refunded contexts restrict actions. Do not reset a dispatched job to print again; create the appropriate separate reprint/reorder.
