PRESSFLOW / BUYING

Buying

What is PressFlow?

PressFlow is a web-to-print plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. It connects product choices and job pricing with artwork, quotes, proofs and production workflows inside your store.

Who is it for?

Printers, print businesses, brokers and resellers who want to take configurable print orders online and keep the resulting jobs organised.

Are the features described available now?

Yes. The features described are included in the current PressFlow release. Check that the supported product types and workflows fit your catalogue, then test your configured shop before opening it to customers.

PRESSFLOW / PLATFORM

Platform

Do I need WordPress and WooCommerce?

Yes. This release requires WordPress 6.5+, WooCommerce 9.9+ and PHP 8.1+. Use maintained versions appropriate to your installation.

Can I choose my own hosting?

Yes. You can use compatible WordPress hosting you choose. Large artwork files also need suitable upload limits and storage on that host.

Will other WooCommerce plugins work alongside it?

PressFlow uses native WooCommerce ecommerce flows, so you can build on the store with other tools. Complex themes, pricing extensions and checkout combinations should be tested for your actual setup.

Can I change the product page?

You can edit ordinary WooCommerce product content and page templates, choose one of three PressFlow layouts and adjust key plugin colours. A developer can use the supported shortcode and hooks for further adaptation.

PRESSFLOW / LICENCES

Licences

What does the yearly licence include?

Every built-in PressFlow feature, one live shop and one staging installation, plus access to releases and standard product support during your 12-month paid term. There are no paid PressFlow modules or per-order commissions.

How many websites are covered?

Your licence covers one live print shop plus one staging installation. Both use an activation. Release an old installation when moving a site; additional live shops need their own licences.

How does the annual licence renew?

The annual licence provides a 12-month term. Contact product support to renew your existing key for the next term. Annual renewal is handled manually; this purchase does not automatically bill your card.

Is the yearly licence an automatic subscription?

No. You pay for a 12-month licence term. Renewal is handled manually through product support, so your card is not automatically charged again.

What happens if an annual term expires?

The existing plugin keeps configured storefront pricing, orders and artwork workflows operating. Renew to continue setup entitlement, access to new releases and standard product support. Keeping the whole site maintained remains the shop owner’s responsibility.

How do I receive updates?

New release ZIPs are provided through the normal download route under your active entitlement. Upload the release through WordPress to update your installation.

Are there paid PressFlow modules or order fees?

No. All built-in PressFlow features are included and PressFlow does not take a per-order commission. Hosting, your domain, payment-processor fees and optional third-party tools are separate costs.

PRESSFLOW / SETUP

Setup

Are the example products ready to sell at their seeded prices?

No. Optional example products are created as drafts to help you understand the setup. Enter your own selling prices and check the product options, artwork requirements, tax settings and production timing before publishing.

PRESSFLOW / PRICING

Pricing

Which pricing approaches are available?

Fixed complete-job price, quantity tables, specification matrices, area-based prices, size bands and quote-only products. Choose the approach that fits the way your shop sells each product.

Does area pricing estimate the paper I will use?

Area pricing uses finished width × height × copies for the configured selling rate. It does not calculate sheet layout, imposition, waste or the stock you need to buy.

How is VAT handled?

PressFlow uses WooCommerce tax settings, the product’s tax class and the customer’s relevant location or exemption. The supported VAT switcher changes the price display; it does not alter the job or checkout tax calculation. Tax rates must be configured in the store.

Can I advertise a coupon discount?

Supported public percentage offers can use an explicitly selected eligible WooCommerce coupon for a print product. The shop controls the offer and eligibility. PressFlow does not publish every private coupon automatically.

PRESSFLOW / ARTWORK

Artwork

Can customers send artwork after ordering?

Yes. Customers can supply artwork on the product, in cart or checkout, or later through the supported account or private guest job workspace. The team can see whether a job still needs artwork.

Can artwork be changed?

Eligible active jobs allow artwork replacement, retaining previous versions and requiring another review. A production lock or a closed job can make customer changes unavailable.

Which file types and sizes are supported?

Supported direct uploads are PDF, JPEG and PNG, subject to the product/shop controls and hosting limits. Several labelled files and transfer links are supported. Resumable large uploads have a supported ceiling of 100 MB and may be lower on your host.

Does PressFlow replace professional preflight?

No. Basic measurable PDF and image checks assist a print team. Staff still check suitability, colour, fonts, image quality inside PDFs and other production requirements. It does not automatically repair artwork or certify full PDF/X compliance.

Can customers approve a proof online?

Yes. Customers can review a versioned proof and approve it or request changes. Approval is recorded against the relevant proof and artwork version.

PRESSFLOW / WORKFLOW

Workflow

Can customers request and accept a quote?

Yes. Quote products and supported quote requests lead to a private offer with a specification, total and acceptance deadline. Customers can ask for changes or accept and proceed to WooCommerce payment.

Can customers reorder previous work?

Yes. Saved configurations and previous jobs provide a starting point. Availability and current prices are checked again, and copied artwork receives a fresh review.

Are production dates guaranteed?

Displayed production dates are estimates based on the configured working days and options after payment and artwork approval. They do not reserve machine capacity or guarantee a courier arrival date.

Is this a complete MIS or artwork designer?

PressFlow provides ordering and job workflow, including production stages and assignments. It is not a browser design editor, full MIS, automated imposition or RIP system, or courier booking service.

PRESSFLOW / SERVICES

Services

Can Fell & Harbour build the website for us?

Yes. Fell & Harbour, creators of PressFlow, offer website design, setup and launch assistance by quotation. The agreed scope explains licence, hosting, product entry, maintenance and any external services.

What does standard product support include?

Help using the supported PressFlow product. A bespoke website, custom development, third-party repairs and a response-time SLA are separate services agreed to scope.
