Cookies and browser storage can remember information on your device. This notice covers both cookies and technologies such as localStorage. Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled.
Shopping and security
WordPress and WooCommerce use storage to maintain sign-in and basket sessions, secure requests and provide features you ask to use. Disabling necessary storage through your browser may prevent those features working. Necessary storage is not permission to track you for advertising.
Shopping and account technologies:
| Name or prefix | Provider and purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | WooCommerce basket changes | Browser session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_ | WooCommerce basket session | Normally two days for guests; configuration may differ |
| wordpress_test_cookie | WordPress sign-in cookie test | Browser session |
| wordpress_logged_in_, wordpress_sec_ | WordPress account authentication | Depends on sign-in and Remember Me settings |
| wc_cart_hash_, wc_fragments_, wc_cart_created | WooCommerce browser storage for the cart icon and basket cache | Session cache refreshes after a day; local cart hash remains until replaced or cleared |
pfss_cookie_preferences | This website: remembers your essential-only or optional choice | 180 days |
__stripe_mid | Stripe: device identifier for fraud prevention and risk assessment | 1 year |
__stripe_sid | Stripe: session identifier for fraud prevention and risk assessment | 30 minutes |
m | Stripe: device identifier for fraud prevention and risk assessment | 2 years |
_ab (session storage) | Stripe: identifier used for fraud prevention and risk assessment | Session |
pay_sid | Stripe: remembers sign-in when using Link/Onelink services | 1 year |
These technologies support shopping, account access and payment security. See WooCommerce’s cookie reference, WordPress’s cookie reference and Stripe’s cookie list.
Stripe’s published list is the source for these payment-related entries. Which items are set depends on the payment flow and features used; Link/Onelink sign-in storage is not set for every checkout. Stripe may set storage on its own domains. See also Stripe’s privacy centre.
Print choices and VAT preferences
Where our demonstration uses these PressFlow features:
| Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
pfw-choices-v1: localStorage entries scoped to site and product | Recover unfinished print choices on the same browser; not artwork, account contact details or the final verified price | Choices expire logically after seven days and are removed when the plugin next reads an expired entry or you clear it; browser data can also be cleared directly |
pressflow-vat localStorage preference used by the PressFlow VAT switcher | Remember whether prices are shown including or excluding VAT | Until you change or clear it, or the browser removes it; it does not change checkout taxes |
pfw_job_access_ cookie on a private guest job page | Authorise access to the specific guest print job after you follow its private access link | Limited by the job-access grant, normally up to 30 days unless renewed; it can be revoked earlier |
The print configurator's clear/reset control clears its saved choices. Browser settings also let you clear stored site data. On shared devices, clear choices and sign out after use. A private guest job link is an access credential; do not share it publicly.
These product features are separate from analytics and advertising. A merchant's own PressFlow website can use different themes, extensions and retention settings; consult that merchant's cookie notice.
Optional technologies and your choices
The supplied website does not include analytics or advertising trackers. If we add optional analytics or embedded media, we will update this notice with their purposes and storage durations before enabling them. We request consent where it is legally required and allow refusal or withdrawal without making an optional choice a condition of buying.
Some narrowly defined preference or statistical uses can qualify for an exception under UK rules, with the required information and a simple, free means to object. We do not treat every analytics or preference feature as automatically exempt. Advertising tracking requires the applicable consent.
The controls above remember your choice on this website and browser for 180 days. Optional saved print choices and the VAT preference remain off until you allow them, where those features are available. Choosing Essential only clears those saved preferences here. You can reopen the controls using Cookie settings in the footer. Make a separate choice on our demonstration site if you visit it; choices are not shared between hostnames.
Your choice does not remove essential Stripe payment-security storage or cookies on another provider’s domain. You can manage those through your browser and the provider’s own controls.
Changing a choice does not invalidate a previous lawful use. Rejecting optional cookies should not disable essential sign-in, checkout or an expressly requested private job session. Your browser can also block or delete cookies; necessary features may then fail to work.
Verified support sessions
When you verify your licence for support, the essential pfss_support_session cookie binds your verified session to this browser for 30 minutes. It lets you send a support request and is not used for analytics or advertising.
