Approve a proof and follow your print job

Find the next action, request changes and understand production updates.

PressFlow 1.25.3 · 2 min read

Guide source reviewed for PressFlow 1.25.1.

Open My Account → Print jobs and select the job. Guests can use a private job link supplied by the shop. The workspace separates Artwork & checks, Proof approval, Progress and Specifications so you can find the next action without searching through the whole order.

Approve a proof

  1. Open the current proof in the job workspace.
  2. Review every page, spelling, dimensions and design details. Use the original download if you need a closer check than the browser preview provides.
  3. If it is correct, select the required approval confirmation and submit your decision.
  4. If changes are needed, use Request changes and explain what must be corrected.

Approval applies to the current proof version only. If staff issue another proof or artwork changes, check the new version and respond again. An old email or browser tab cannot approve a superseded proof.

PressFlow does not design or generate a proof automatically. Staff supply the proof for the job. The shop's approval wording and process explain what you are confirming.

Understand progress

Artwork needed, Artwork review, Proof approval needed and Changes requested explain work still required before printing. Payment needed means the purchase has not met the payment requirement. Ready to print means the job's required checks have been satisfied; staff still need to start production.

Printing, Finishing and Dispatched show the production/fulfilment stage. On hold means staff have paused the job. A WooCommerce order status can cover several print jobs and may differ from the individual job's stage.

Dates and messages

The original product-page date is an estimate. A confirmed completion date is shown when staff have set one. Public messages and dispatch/collection details appear in the workspace as applicable. Internal staff notes and private flags are not customer updates.

Customer emails can alert you to the next action, proof, date, message or dispatch. Check the workspace if you have not received an email. It remains the place to see the current version and decision required.

Guest access

A private ordered-job link is time-limited. If it expires, ask the shop to renew access. Never share it publicly. Signing in as a different customer or knowing the order number does not give access to that job's private files.
