Pricing
Enter quantity, stock and production prices
Enter or paste a base-job price grid, understand shared rows and add option-specific prices.
Guide source reviewed for PressFlow 1.25.1.
Find it: Print product setup → Prices & quantities. Choose Price by quantity or Price by print options.
Enter the main price list
- Enter the preset copy quantities customers may choose.
- If using production-date columns, set up the required production choices in step 4, then return to prices.
- Enter a complete-job base selling price for each quantity/production cell.
- Leave option extras at zero for costs already included in those rows.
- Check examples across the quantities and speed columns before saving.
A price of 45 for 100 copies means a base job price of 45 in your store currency and tax-entry basis. It does not mean 45 per copy. The final configured total can include other option extras and rules.
Paste from a spreadsheet
Select the top-left destination cell and paste a rectangular block of plain numbers. Omit headings, currency symbols, percent signs and thousands separators. Use a decimal point. Review the complete destination range: the block is validated before any part is applied.
Invalid text is marked and cannot be checked or saved as a price. Correct it or use Discard invalid price entries. Private recovery retains valid edits; do not rely on recovery to preserve arbitrary invalid pasted text.
Different prices for an option combination
Choose Add different prices for an option combination, select the stock/sides/size/finish choices and enter its prices. The guided group supports up to six choice conditions. Merely viewing a group does not create rows.
Copy shared prices into empty cells copies known shared amounts without replacing existing group prices. Use it as a starting point, then change the entries that actually differ.
Blank and zero are different
| Entry | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Blank | No exact row for that cell. An applicable shared row may still price it. |
| Clear a previous amount | Remove that exact row; check the resulting fallback. |
| 0 | Keep an explicit zero base row. Applicable extras may still make a positive job. |
| Specific amount | Use the matching row in the normal engine. |
A zero-value complete purchase is not orderable. The engine needs a positive final job price. A blank shared cell is not automatically “free”.
Resolve overlaps
More specific rows take precedence over shared rows. Equally specific matching rows are ambiguous and need correction. Existing dimension-limited or unusual rows may direct you to Review price rows in Advanced controls.
Try the same quantity with different stocks and production choices. Check the actual base row and extras in the price breakdown, then use product-wide coverage to find gaps.
