Pricing
Use extras, minimum charges and setup charges correctly
Avoid doubled costs by distinguishing per-job, per-copy and area charges.

Find it: Print options for option extras; Prices & quantities for base, minimum and setup amounts.
Base price rows cover the core job. Extras add selected material, finishing, design or other costs. Choose one place for each cost so an option does not charge twice.
Charging units
| Extra basis | Calculation | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Per complete job | Add the amount once. | A design-assistance charge of 15. |
| Per copy | Amount × configured copies. | 0.02 lamination extra on 500 copies adds 10. |
| Per square metre | Amount × charged area per copy × copies. | A coating rate on custom-size panels. |
Amounts use the store's price-entry tax basis. The basket quantity remains one print job even when the job contains hundreds of copies.
If both a field-wide charge and its selected choice have amounts, the normal engine can include both. Use the checker breakdown to confirm this is deliberate. A base stock row plus a stock extra is also additive: use one or both only when your price model requires it.
Minimum and setup
Custom-size area and size-band methods have a minimum base job charge and a setup amount. The base is raised to the minimum first. Setup and option extras are then added. The minimum is not a cap on the final total and does not absorb the setup charge.
For example, an area calculation of 18 with a minimum of 25, setup of 5 and a job extra of 10 produces 40 before display tax/coupons. If the area base is already 40, the same setup/extra produces 55.
Conditional charges
Advanced rules can replace a field or choice charge for a matching specification. This is useful when a finishing rate changes at a quantity threshold. Check both sides of the threshold and overlapping rule priorities.
The bulk adjustment tool includes matching conditional replacement amounts for relevant scopes. Otherwise an old conditional amount could silently reinstate a previous charge. Read the adjustment preview to see what will change.
A useful validation routine
Check a job with no optional finish, then one with each important extra. Increase copies and verify per-copy extras multiply while job extras stay constant. Change size and verify area extras use charged area. Confirm totals are positive and avoid rounding small per-copy rates too early.
Use bulk adjustments for price-list changes and discount coupons for a promotion. They serve different purposes: one edits stored selling prices, the other applies an eligible WooCommerce discount.
