Getting started

Check a print product before customers can buy it

Run a focused product, checkout, artwork and production acceptance check.

Guide source reviewed for PressFlow 1.25.1.

Use this checklist for your first product and whenever changing pricing, taxes, artwork rules or checkout behavior. PressFlow's readiness screen is useful, but an actual purchase through your shop proves the connections it cannot test.

Product and price

  • The product is a published WooCommerce simple product with a valid enabled PressFlow setup.
  • Its title, images, full description and short description are appropriate for customers.
  • Demo prices have been replaced with your selling prices and any “Demo:” title removed when appropriate.
  • Required options use clear labels and valid defaults. Incompatible combinations are hidden, restricted or explained.
  • Check the lowest, typical and largest quantities; important materials, sides and extras; and custom-size boundaries.
  • Check each production speed, minimum charge and setup charge.
  • Run the matching example price check and save. Review the wider coverage report for missing and overlapping rows.
  • Check the starting specification, tooltip and quantity description. Keep “Configure for a price” if a safe reference cannot be established.

Tax, offers and checkout

  • Product tax status/class and the applicable rates are correct.
  • Exclusive/inclusive amounts switch together where the theme supplies that feature.
  • Any assigned promotion is eligible and appears once in the basket calculation.
  • Delivery or collection, shipping costs, payment and customer emails work in your chosen checkout.
  • One configured job appears as one basket item, with the correct specification and full-run total.
  • Quote-only products stay quote-only.

Artwork and fulfilment

  • Upload a valid file, an intentionally problematic file and a transfer link.
  • Complete one upload before purchase and another from the basket or account after purchase.
  • Confirm staff can preview/download files, see checks and request changes.
  • Send a proof and confirm the customer can approve only the current version.
  • Verify production cannot start while payment, artwork, proof or blocking flags are unresolved.
  • Move a ready test job through printing, finishing and dispatch/collection. Confirm public updates and private notes remain distinct.

Access and recovery

  • Check a registered customer and a guest order, including private guest links where used.
  • Another customer cannot access that job's files or decisions.
  • Confirm artwork limits, retention and backups suit your expected volume.
  • Confirm scheduled tasks and email delivery work with your host and caching setup.
  • Check product description placement, button contrast and mobile layout.

Use a test payment method or controlled small transaction according to your shop's normal process. Do not use seeded orders as evidence that your gateway or customer emails work: those examples are intentionally not normal paid checkout transactions.
