Getting started

Install PressFlow and prepare WooCommerce

Install the uploadable ZIP, check requirements and prepare the store before configuring print products.

PressFlow 1.25.3 · 2 min read

Guide source reviewed for PressFlow 1.25.2.

Before you start

The current plugin declares WordPress 6.5 or newer, WooCommerce 9.9 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer. Ask your host to confirm PHP fileinfo is enabled for uploaded file validation. Use HTTPS for the shop and private customer artwork links.

Have your PressFlow product key, the plugin ZIP and permission to install WordPress plugins. Printer administration requires WooCommerce management access; editing a setup also requires permission to edit that product.

Back up an existing shop before installing or replacing software. A staging copy is useful for checking a theme, checkout or third-party extension without affecting real orders.

Install the supplied ZIP

  1. In WordPress, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
  2. Select pressflow-web2print-1.25.3.zip and choose Install Now.
  3. Activate PressFlow. WooCommerce must be installed and active.
  4. Open WooCommerce → PressFlow welcome if the welcome screen does not open automatically.
  5. Enter your complete product key and activate it.
  6. Continue through colours, layout, content and the optional draft demo products.

Upload the plugin ZIP itself. A documentation pack or outer folder of deliverables is not an installable plugin. If updating, choose WordPress's option to replace the installed version and retain the pressflow-web2print folder name.

Prepare the store

Confirm the WooCommerce currency and price-entry tax basis before entering prices. Configure applicable tax rates, shipping or collection, checkout pages and payment methods. Set the WordPress timezone under Settings → General so production cutoffs and dates match your shop.

In WooCommerce → Print settings, set the quote notification email and review artwork retention and file limits. Check that WordPress scheduled tasks and the site's email transport work. Customer updates are queued after job changes; a working form alone does not prove emails will arrive.

Check the result

The WooCommerce menu should contain PressFlow welcome, Print product setup, Print quotes, Print production and Print settings. Installing the plugin does not publish a catalogue or enable print ordering on ordinary products.

If an account endpoint returns 404, save Settings → Permalinks once and retest. If the new interface looks stale, clear page, CDN, optimisation and browser caches. If you cannot see management menus, ask the administrator to review your role rather than sharing another person's login.

Next: activate or move a licence and configure your first product.
